Look, no one likes pizza more than us. But even if we were hell of jonesing for some sweet, sweet ‘za, we’d think twice about reaching for one of these slices. It really looks like that’s cake frosting on there. Granted, that would be perfect for ol’ Rexy, but still ... yuck. Let’s go to the source to find out what these toppings REALLY are!
I spoke with Dave at La Nova Pizzeria in Buffalo, who was able to confirm that the toppings on the pizza were "all edible." The blue and red frosting-looking components are ricotta cheese that was dyed, while the letters are indeed spinach. Mystery solved!
