Aaron Rodgers doesn’t think God is ‘a big football fan’

Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers battled in the NFC Championship, now the two quarterbacks are locking theological horns over whether God cared about the game. Let’s hear Russ’ take on it all:
“That’s God setting it up, to make it so dramatic, so rewarding, so special,” Wilson told Peter King. “I’ve been through a lot in life, and had some ups and downs. It’s what’s led me to this day.”
Wilson stopped short of saying God wanted the Seahawks to win, but the drama we got, the game as a whole, that was all the man upstairs. Rodgers isn’t buying it.
“I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome,” Rodgers said. “He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think he’s a big football fan.”
No matter which side of the theological fence you fall on we can all agree that God forsook the Raiders long ago.
