Pete Carroll is calling Richard Sherman’s unborn son ‘Little Petey’

It’s awesome to hear the Seahawks are being so flexible with Richard Sherman while his girlfriend is waiting to give birth to the couple’s child, but let’s talk about this whole “Little Petey” thing.

There’s only a few possible ways this could happen:

  • Sherman has already told Carroll he plans to name his son after him.
  • Carroll is assuming the child will be named “Petey,” which could get awkward.
  • Pete Carroll calls all children, regardless of age or gender “Petey”
  • These aren’t linked statements and Carroll went off on a tangent talking about an actual child he knows named Petey.
