We’ve seen botched airball threes turn into uncontested dunks. But I can’t say we’ve ever seen a botched dunk turn directly into a wide open three:

This is the least plausible “I SWEAR, THAT WAS A PASS” of all time.
It looks like Muhammad had a sudden change of heart on whether his shot would be a layup or a dunk after realizing he was completely unguarded, and screwed up the whole thing. Out of sheer luck, Muhammad's embarrassing moment worked out when the ball skipped straight to Mo Williams, who drilled a relatively open three. Sadly, the official scorer did not give Muhammad an assist:
