Rockies want Dan Haren even though Haren knows it’s a terrible idea

Dan Haren wants to pitch on the west coast. Colorado isn’t the west coast, but hey, it’s closer than Miami, so the Rockies are looking into a trade for the pitcher. It’s a terrible idea given his fly balls and Denver’s lack of baseball-stopping air, one so bad that Dan Haren joked about it as a spooky story back on Halloween.

Well, if Haren wants to retire so he can work in a front office, we know of at least one that he’s overqualified for.
