J.R. Smith left the Cavaliers bench to buy cotton candy on Monday night. It was a neat, quintessentially preseason moment that was also utterly J.R. Smith. It turns out there’s another really neat aspect to this story.

Smith wasn’t just buying cotton candy for anyone, he was buying it for a kid -- a kid who happens to be PGA golfer Jason Day’s son, Dash. The Day family was attending the game when not only they got to meet Smith up close, but got cotton candy from him!
