Whomever is running my Facebook hmu.
— Gary Payton (@GaryPayton_20) October 19, 2015 Gary Payton wants whoever is running his Facebook account to tweet him
We’re through the looking G̶l̶o̶v̶e̶ glass here, people.

Like most athletes, Gary Payton has a public Facebook page. Some athletes run their pages while others have an entire social media team. Typically, you’d think there’s some sort of communication between the two parties so the athletes can project who they really are to their adoring fans.
But not Gary Payton. The Seattle Supersonics legend doesn’t seem to know who is running his Facebook account. But there’s more to it than just that. The most recent post on both Facebook and Twitter are both well wishes to Payton’s mother, who is apparently celebrating a birthday today.
Did Gary wish mother Payton a happy birthday personally, or did his social media person do it for him? Since he doesn’t know who is running his Facebook page, it seems fairly obvious that his team posted that for him. The Facebook status was posted on Sunday at 8:24 p.m. ET. Gary might need to explain this to his mom.
Wishing my mother a very special Happy Birthday.

But when you take into account the tweet, things get a little weird. Payton posted the Tweet via the Twitter for iPhone app a minute before. Based on that, his social team isn’t using a social media suite that posts a message on both platforms at the same time. That being said, there are only a few posts on Facebook that appear on his Twitter. There’s the off chance that Gary Payton coincidentally posted the same message a minute before using his personal phone.
If you or anyone you know is running the Gary Payton Facebook page, please contact The Glove via Twitter.
