With an increasing salary cap and a massive influx of television money on the way, salaries in the NBA are on the rise. So much so that players inking deals now are making considerably more than deals from a couple seasons ago. Tristan Thompson is the latest player to cash in, finally agreeing to a five-year, $82 million contract with Cleveland. This tweet would imply DeMarcus Cousins thinks that is way too much money.

He may be shocked to see Thompson earning $16.2 million annually while his deal is only worth $15.5 million a year. That won’t last long, however, as Cousins will cash in in a major way when he hits free agency again after the salary cap has exploded in two years.
