It’s not uncommon for a player to ask a ref for a call, it is slightly uncommon for a ref to act like a big piss-baby about it and shout at the player.
49ers player begs for call, ref tells him to get out of his face
In the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s NFL battle between the 49ers and Seahawks, 49ers receiver Quinton Patton was upset about not getting a call and attempted to plead his case. The ref, wanting to act like a big, tough guy knowing he’s protected from getting physically harmed by someone 20 years younger and way stronger than him, threw a flag and shouted at Patton to get out of his face. Just one of the many reasons no one likes refs.
