Austin Rivers is already $25,000 in the hole for this season, after being fined by the NBA for throwing a seat cushion into the stands during the Clippers’ game against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday Wednesday night.
Austin Rivers fined $25,000 for throwing a seat cushion into the stands

Clippers' Austin Rivers fined $25,000 by NBA for throwing seat cushion into the spectator stands during game at Kings yesterday.
— Marc J. Spears (@SpearsNBAYahoo) October 29, 2015 Throwing seat cushions probably doesn’t seem like much, but the NBA certainly wants to protect its fans. Throwing anything into the stands that might possibly injure someone like Rivers did here is always going to be frowned upon. A report by Sam Amick of USA Today shed a little more light on why Rivers was almost definitely going to get fined, noting that the person who was hit by the cushion appeared to be experiencing some discomfort after it happened.
Definitely a rough start to the season for Austin Rivers.
