Rejection is a pain we all know too well. When I was 10 years old my five best friends said they were all busy on Saturday, so I stayed at home — alone. I found out on Monday that they all went to see Toy Story and didn't invite me.
Boise State kicker Tyler Rausa and 10-year-old me are spirit animals, but he is far braver than I was. When his teammates mercilessly rejected his overtures for a high-five he didn’t sulk — he got right back on that horse and turned lemons into lemonade.
