Did you hear that the Toronto Blue Jays are playing in the ALDS on Thusday? They are, and the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., sure is excited about it.

So excited, in fact, that they strung up a Blue Jays flag along with the old Maple Leaf.

— Connect2Canada (@connect2canada) October 8, 2015 The problem, however, is that this isn’t allowed under Canadian rules. Canada’s flag etiquette specifically stipulates that the national flag must always be hung alone on its own mast:
The National Flag of Canada should always be flown on its own mast - flag protocol dictating that it is improper to fly two or more flags on the same mast (eg. one beneath the other).
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
Meanwhile, a flag that can best be described as “much” is being unfurled in Toronto as Game 1 gets underway.
