Nope, it’s not the end of the world -- the Chicago Cubs are in the playoffs again, and Stephen Colbert is psyched about it. He’s so psyched that he declared that the Cubs will win the World Series.

And like any other Cubs fan, he’s proud of how well they’re doing, he’s open to make fun of how much fans have suffered (including himself), and he hates that damn billy goat. He became a Cubs fan while living in Chicago for 11 years, he’s earned the right to damn that goat.
The best line of that segment is when Colbert drops some non-goat related truth bombs about why the Cubs haven’t done well for years:
