Football touches 7 different players’ hands during one bumbling interception

Georgia State had a comfortable 21-12 lead against the Texas State Bobcats in the second quarter. With the ball in the red zone, things were only going to get better until a Nick Arbuckle pass turned into a pivotal swat.
The swat redirected the football right in the middle of the offensive and defensive lines. It was literally up for grabs at that point. But no matter how hard the linemen tried, the ball just wouldn’t fall back down. It was as cruel as when a kid tries to grab a floating balloon and fails.
After the ball touched 6 different player’s hands, the Bobcats ended up with the ball exactly on the same yard line as the snap thanks to Stephan Johnson. So although a 0-yard interception doesn’t sound ll that impressive, it might have made all the difference for Texas State.
