On Sunday night, for a moment, Kobe Bryant showed a little bit of the Kobe Bryant we once knew. He finished the game with 17 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, and one huge 3-pointer to help seal the Lakers' victory over the Pistons. While it was a somewhat special night for Kobe, it was an even more special night for the three Americans attending the game who helped stop the Paris train attacks last August. After Kobe's 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter, he made his way to the halfcourt sideline where he celebrated with the men who stopped the terrorist attacks.

What a great moment.

One of the men who stopped the attack was wearing a Lakers shirt that day and the Lakers made sure to honor the heroes back home in LA. The three men were given Lakers jerseys during pregame and also had a chance to meet with Kobe before tip-off. But I’m sure nothing on Sunday night could compare to getting daps from Kobe during the game.
What a cool moment for everyone involved.
