Brett Favre suited up for the Falcons, Jets and Vikings during his 20-year NFL career, but he spent the bulk of his time in the league as the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. After a less-than-amicable departure, things between the Gunslinger and the Green Bay fans and organization weren't ideal. Thursday, however, the hatchet was buried with Favre being given the key to the city and having his name unveiled on the facade at Lambeau Field.

Favre's resume ranks up there with the best NFL quarterbacks of all time. Perhaps the most impressive and maybe untouchable record he owns is his streak of 297 consecutive regular season starts. The next closest to Favre among active players is Eli Manning with 177 consecutive starts, who would only need to play SEVEN-AND-A-HALF MORE SEASONS WORTH OF GAMES to equal Favre. He also brought the Packers one of the four Super Bowl championships in team history, winning Super Bowl XXXI at the end of the 1996-97 season.
Favre became the first Packer ever to be inducted into the team Hall of Fame and have his number retired at the same time. Perhaps the biggest applause of the night was reserved for another Packers legend. Bart Starr came out to show support for a fellow Green Bay legend, even while battling serious health issues that made his presence doubtful for a while.
An awesome ceremony for an unquestionably great quarterback.
