Calvin Pryor tells Ryan Tannehill to throw better balls and his receivers won’t get injured

Early in the game, Jets safety Calvin Pryor delivered a crushing tackle to Miami Dolphins receiver Rishard Matthews. While the hit was called cleaned by the referees, Matthews left the game with a rib and chest injury.

While medical staff tended to the Dolphins receiver, Pryor seemed to hop in celebration in front of the New York Jets fans at MetLife Stadium. Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill spoke on the matter, calling Pryor’s post-hit actions “classless.”

Though the matter could have ended there, Pryor took offense to being called classless and tweeted a response, claiming that the danger in the hit wasn’t really from the contact between he and Matthews but the lack of safety in initially throwing it to him.
