The Royals visited ‘The Tonight Show’ to watch Bret Saberhagen beat up ‘Bret Saberhagen’

Bret Saberhagen’s waited 30 years to do it.

Not too long ago, The Tonight Show found an old commercial starring Bret Saberhagen, who was part of the 1985 World Series-winning Royals. In that commercial, Saberhagen does a really awkward rap about Ford trucks, because it was the 80s and apparently everyone needed to rap about something.

On Wednesday’s show, the Royals’ Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez stopped by to talk about the World Series win, and Fallon wanted them to see the commercial and meet 1986 Bret Saberhagen (played by head writer A.D. Miles). Unfortunately, 2015 Bret Saberhagen didn’t want 1986 to be around anymore ... so he punched him in the gut.

Ford Truck Month just got a little violent.
