You are watching the sports equivalent of The X-Files. We will never know why Garlon Green decided to slam home a putback dunk on his own basket -- but the truth is out there.
Garlon happens to be the brother of Miami Heat forward Gerald Green. While his dunk didn’t effect the ending of the game we’ll still wonder how, or why it happened. Maybe this was just practice. A personal challenge to see if it was possible. Perhaps he just got really confused in the heat of a game. Time will tell -- or it won’t.
