— I AM PEACE STAR (@StarburyMarbury) December 21, 2015 China’s new Stephon Marbury museum is definitely the world’s best Stephon Marbury museum

This isn’t some random Stephon Marbury tweet. It’s true. He has his own museum. An honest to goodness, no frills museum in Beijing. “The House of Marbury Museum” has opened in Beijing to much fanfare at the same time Marbury has been granted his permanent residency in China.
The turnaround has been nothing short of amazing for Marbury. At 38 years old he’s one of the most popular athletes in China after leading the Beijing Ducks to three straight CBA titles. There aren’t many athletes who have enough clout to have a museum in their honor, but Marbury’s Chinese career is mired in the extraordinary. There is a statue of him outside the Ducks’ arena. Now people are paying to see his stuff, according to China Daily.
In the jersey exhibition zone, six jerseys, including Timberwolves, Nets, Knicks and Beijing, are on display, where Marbury highlighted the meaning of the Beijing jersey to him.
There is even a giant wax sculpture of Marbury, which is terrifying.

— CBS Sports NBA (@CBSSportsNBA) December 22, 2015 Lakers president Jeanie Buss sent a message to Marbury wishing him well on the day of his museum opening, which, again, is a real thing. We promise.
I signed up for a Chinese social media account to try and find more, but all I learned was that Marbury has a pooping Keroppi as his cover image.
