JaVale McGee misses reverse layup so badly it was a turnover for passing to himself

JaVale McGee cannot be faulted for a lack of imagination. He'll try to stop you from dunking on him even when it's clear he's not going to succeed. And when he completely screws up a reverse layup attempt and ends up throwing the ball away from the basket, he'll just casually act like he was trying to pass to himself:

Unfortunately, you can't pass to yourself in basketball. That's considered traveling, and it's precisely what McGee gets whistled for here as pretty much everyone on the Nets realizes what happened.
