Needing 9 yards on fourth down, the Patriots threw deep over the middle to Gronkowski for 26 yards. Obviously. The catch kept their drive alive, and the Patriots would eventually score a game-tying touchdown.
This isn’t the most impressive catch of Gronk’s career, but the way he got hit right as he landed should have probably caused him to drop the ball. The defender put his helmet right on the ball and still couldn’t jar it loose. He’s a superhero.
