Miko Grimes takes aim at Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins beat writers in another Twitter rant

Miko Grimes is the wife of Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes. She’s a stalwart champion of her husband, to the point that things often get completely out of hand on Twitter. Back in January she went on a tirade against the NFL that devolved into arguing about her husband not being named Pro Bowl MVP, now she’s turning her attention to her husband’s employer, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the media and any fan who dares to question whether Brent Grimes is the best thing since sliced bread.
The “triple A’s” Grimes is referring to are Armando Salguero, Adam Beasley and Andrew Abramson -- Dolphins’ beat writers. Miko Grimes claims they have unnecessarily been targeting the defense for the Dolphins’ failures without criticizing Tannehill.
Tannehill was far from perfect on Sunday against the Colts, but he wasn’t the problem the team had. He finished the day with 329 passing yards while completing 68 percent of his passes. On the flip side, the defense allowed 268 yards and 18 point to a Colts offense that consisted of 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst at quarterback paired with a 32-year-old Frank Gore, who had one of his best games of the season, rushing for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
It didn’t stop there.
Let’s be abundantly clear here: Tannehill has 3,858 passing yards this season with a quarterback rating of 87.1. Meanwhile the Dolphins defense is 24th against the pass, allowing 258.2 yards per game and giving up 31 touchdowns, tied for fourth-worst in the NFL.
Despite these mammoth defensive failures, Miko Grimes thinks the defense should have gone to the Pro Bowl, and she’s blaming fans.
What got Miko so upset? Well, there’s a lot to unpack here:
So it seems a lot of this stems from the fear that Brent Grimes will be cut after the year. There was a A LOT more to this rant and you can read it all over at The Phinsider.
