— Boston Celtics (@celtics) December 30, 2015 The Celtics honored Kobe Bryant’s last trip to Boston by giving him a piece of the parquet floor
Though the Celtics-Lakers rivalry is one of the most heated in the NBA, both teams are setting aside their differences to honor Kobe Bryant’s last game in Boston on Wednesday. To honor the Black Mamba’s career, the Celtics decided to pay tribute to Bryant by literally giving him a piece of the court he has played countless games on.
Maybe once retires, Kobe can sit down and admire the rivalry he helped reignite in the late 2000s. Either that or the framed piece of court will just anger him even more. Regardless, this is a wonderful gesture from the Celtics organization.
