NBA fans in Mexico went absolutely nuts for ... Kelly Olynyk

The Boston Celtics played the Sacramento Kings on Thursday in a regular season matchup in Mexico City, in the latest of the NBA’s attempts to capitalize on what the league sees as an untapped southern market.

Some of this market, it seems, has been tapped: by Kelly Olynyk.

Following Boston’s 114–97 win, Olynyk’s post-game interview was interrupted by a band of Celtics fans on the court, covered in green and chanting Olynyk’s name. He gave them high fives before returning to his interview.
