After Dallas and Washington faced each other in a Monday Night Football matchup that included a roller coaster of a performance from DeSean Jackson, the veteran wide receiver and Dez Bryant met at the 50-yard line and exchanged autographed jerseys.
Dez Bryant and DeSean Jackson continued the fun trend of NFL players exchanging jerseys

— NFL (@NFL) December 8, 2015 Soccer has had this tradition for several decades and it seems that only recently it has become a rising trend in the NFL. As Odell Beckham Jr. told the New York Times, it’s the aspect of showing respect that makes this tradition so appealing to the players:
“You watch any of the gladiator or Spartan movies, on the field of battle is their helmet or whatever they were wearing — they won or lost in it,” Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said. “The jerseys are kind of like our armor. It’s something to be remembered forever.”
Indeed, not only does this look like one of the most respectful things players (especially those on rival teams) can do for one another, it also looks like a lot of fun.
