This is already the Spurs’ worst Rodeo Trip ever

Finally, the league makes San Antonio loath a long annual road trip most teams would dread.

After a third straight defeat, the Spurs are 2-5 on the 2015 Rodeo Trip. With two games to go, San Antonio can finish the annual journey no better than 4-5. That means this will be the first Rodeo Trip below .500 for the Spurs -- ever.

Rodeo Trip Chart

The good news is that in one of the two seasons in which the Spurs went just .500 on the Rodeo Trip, San Antonio won the championship. Of course, in that 2006-07 season Los Spurs went 58-24, finished as the No. 3 seed and ended up with a lighter path to the Finals thanks to the We Believe! Warriors' upset of the 61-win Mavericks.

This time, the Spurs are likely to be a lower-half seed with a very tough draw all of the way through.

The San Antonio Express-News’ elite basketball staff was useful, per usual.
