Connor ‘The Crusher’ Michalek to receive WWE Warrior Award at Wrestlemania

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Connor “The Crusher” Michalek passed away shortly after Wrestlemania a year ago. The 8-year-old who touched so many hearts in the WWE locker room was remembered with a tribute in 2014, and a year later he’s not being forgotten.
Connor will be awarded the WWE’s first “Warrior Award,” on the night before Wrestlemania at the Hall of Fame ceremony. It’s named after former WWE Superstar The Ultimate Warrior, who also died in 2014. He advocated that ordinary heroes should be represented at the WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony, and that’s just what’s happening.
The Connor’s Cure program aims to make life better for children suffering from pediatric cancer through research and donations. Please visit their website here.
