Amar’e Stoudemire says Mavs can’t ‘joke around’ while wearing this silly outfit

The Mavericks’ freefall hit a new low with a 33-point home loss to the Cavaliers on Tuesday. Afterwards, an angry Amar’e Stoudemire implored his teammates to pick it up.

”I came here to win, and we’re (4 ½) games out of being out of the playoffs, which is unacceptable. This is something we can’t accept. We’ve got to find a way to refocus. We’ve got to key into the details of the game of basketball.

“We can’t cheat the game. We can’t screw around in games and practices and joke around all the time and figure we’re going to win games. This is the pros. It’s the highest level of basketball. We’ve got to act that way.”

I’m sure his teammates would agree. No more joking around all the time. Take this seriously! Yeah!

Then, they probably looked at his shirt...

... and weirdly found it hard to stifle their laughter. I wonder why.

UPDATE: As Kirk points out, perhaps Amar’e wore the outfit because he had to jet to this event.
