Starting in July, Warriors forward Draymond Green will be back on the market. The soon-to-be free agent had a successful season with Golden State, and his 11.6 point average has some analysts speculating he might reel in a max contract. But one scout isn’t so sure:
Anonymous scout suggests Draymond Green is ‘just not that talented’
He also called Green a winning player, but a complementary one not worth a maximum contract.


“He’s a complementary guy. But he’s going to get paid like a second or third option, probably. I would be cautious, if I’m any team other than Golden State. I’m not sure his talents are totally transferable. He’s just not that talented. He does the little things, he can guard, he’s a winning player. What they like about him is his leadership; he’s become the leader of that team. I’m not sure that’s transferable.”
A bit of a backhanded compliment, but probably a valid point. That scout should take care to stay anonymous, though. You wouldn’t like Draymond Green when he’s angry:
