Poor David Joerger. All he wanted to do was talk to Stan Van Gundy. Nothing serious, just a quick chat about things. He looked forward to it all day and practiced what he was going to say in front of the mirror. The big moment never worked out how he planned. He said “Hi,” and Stan just blew him off.
The weird part here is that THE PISTONS WON. This wasn’t like some surly “Let’s get out of here,” coach thing -- SVG just wanted nothing to do with Joerger. That’s mean, Stan. Look what you did to the poor guy.
