President Barack Obama was in attendance to watch his niece play for the Princeton Tigers women’s basketball team Saturday.
Barack Obama watches niece play in NCAA tournament, dances to MC Hammer
This from the White House pool report, courtesy of the Washington Post, really paints a beautiful picture:
The undefeated Princeton women's basketball team is losing 35-34 after a hard-fought half. Leslie Robinson has not played yet.
Obama's been actively watching and chatting with his brother-in-law Craig.
Obama is sporting what looks to me like a new Fitbit-style smartwatch (thanks to telephoto-equipped photographers). (The Daily Mail has written on this but I don't have confirmation of the model.)
Obama was seen bopping his head slightly but in time with "can't touch this" during a dance off during a timeout. He cheered enthusiastically for the Princeton fan dancing but the announcer pronounced the dance-off "too close to call."
He was also seen trying to overhear whatever this young man was saying to his daughter.
The first uncle is here to cheer for @PrincetonWBB! Very cool! pic.twitter.com/TMuMP7dxJO
— Robin Harris (@IvyExecDir) March 21, 2015 The fans made their feelings known about the President.
AND the Princeton student section just got a "4 MORE YEARS!!! 4 MORE YEARS!!!" chant going for Obama. Not legal but...he enjoyed
— Brian McNally (@bmcnally14) March 21, 2015 Princeton won so hopefully that means more chances for the POTUS to dance to MC Hammer very soon.
