Don’t feel bad for this Oregon steeplechase runner. Stop. I know you’re thinking about it. Don’t. Premature celebrations have become the “this stove is hot” of the sports world. We have ample evidence why people shouldn’t celebrate prematurely. Heck, check Google.
The entire Internet looks for stuff like this on the reg. Don’t become a statistic. If you’re running a race, think about firmly planting your hands in your pockets for the whole thing. Sure you might look silly, but there’s no chance anyone could think you’re celebrating prematurely.
