Riddick Bowe sold tweets for $20 and his account has descended into madness

The two-time heavyweight champ made a modest proposal. Things went downhill from there.

Retired boxer Riddick Bowe has 451,000 followers. The opportunity to make his Twitter account say ANYTHING for $20 was an opportunity too good to pass up for a lot of people. Things got weird.

There were song lyrics with the word “Bowe” in them.

Some people wanted to pretend they were Bowe to promote their #brand.

There was debt collection.

Yo mama jokes...

One dude just wanted a date.

He paid $20 to get shut down.

Someone REALLY wanted their Game of Thrones feelings to be known.

It’s unclear how long this experiment will last. So far it’s all been pretty tame, but who knows where it could go from here.
