The NFL is trying its best to appear human and relatable, but its attempts are confusing and stupid.

This is the meme the NFL tweeted this afternoon. It’s designed to try and tap into the emotions of football fans who are waiting to find out how many prime time games their team gets, and when the bye week will be. It also makes NO DAMN SENSE. Here’s why:
- The league created this dog and pony show in the first place. There's no reason to make fans wait this long, then endure a THREE HOUR SCHEDULE BROADCAST to find out when the hell they're playing. Now the NFL is being all like "Isn't waiting a pain! ugh!" like they didn't create this in the first place. It's not cute, it's condescending. Yo shield, we're enduring this endless bullshit because we like football -- don't rub it in with this crap.
- "Retweet if you can relate!" No, sorry I can't really relate to being Eli Manning laying face-first on a football field after being sacked, hit, run over or whatever. That's not my face right now... this is my face right now.
- Let's assume I could relate to that feeling: IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FIVE MONTHS AGO. You know, when the NFL released the opponents each team would be facing in 2015. Everybody knows who they're playing at this point. There's no surprise, there's no mystery. If someone is getting worked up to the point of being face-first on the ground in anguish over when a bye-week happens then they are in serious need of relaxation exercises.
- NFL, do you know how humans react to being nervous about something? They pace, perhaps bite their nails, ACTUALLY LOOK NERVOUS. Not collapse on the ground in a pose closer to a migraine than concern. If you're tweet was "Oh hey, the Hindenburg crashed in 1937... RT if you can relate!" then maybe this Eli picture would make more sense.
- Just stop.
