It’s a dark day for fans of selfies and horses. And remote control flying cameras. From The Courier-Journal:
You’re not allowed to bring drones or selfie sticks to the Kentucky Derby
Sorry, you won’t be able to get the best possible angle on that picture of you and a horse.

In heightening security measures leading up to the 2015 Kentucky Derby and Oaks, Churchill Downs on Thursday announced it will no longer allow re-entry to ticketed guests on those days.
Additionally, Churchill added a pair of new technologies -- selfie sticks and drones -- to its list of banned items in the interest of both fans and competing horses.
In the interest of competing horses? Horses also asked to stop “being ridden and hit with sticks” but for an unprecedented every year, those requests were denied.
