The build-up to Mitt Romney’s charity boxing match against former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield has been, well, weird. Here are five things we we learned from the New York Times:
Mitt Romney and his ‘bird legs’ are ready to fight Evander Holyfield
Mitt Romney also wants you to check out his legs while he checks out the ring card girls

1. Romney ‘s mind is elsewhere. This was his answer when pressed about his thoughts on the fight being three rounds.
“Or less. And between rounds, there will be young women holding up round numbers walking in the ring.”
2. He has a nickname!
“My son has dubbed me the Glove.”
3. Romney also seems to go to a happy place when describing his own legs.
“I was affectionately known as Bird Legs during high school. I’m afraid the bird legs will be unveiled one more time. But I’m very pleased that Under Armour has agreed to sponsor the bout. They have graciously sent me their apparel items, which I will avail myself of.”
4. He’s avoiding Evander’s ears at all costs.
“I’m staying far away from his ears. I don’t for a moment want for him to confuse me with anyone from his past.”
5. Oh, the song choice he’s gonna walk out to?
“‘I Will Survive,’ I think.”
