Charlotte Brown is the most inspirational athlete you’ve never heard of. The high school pole vaulter lost her sight during her sophomore year, but didn’t let that stop her from competing in the sport she loves. Over the weekend she took third place in the Texas state championships, clearing an 11-6 jump.
Brown’s aim is to keep going higher. She’s improved every year since becoming a vaulter, and wants to clear the 14- foot mark. This interview with ESPN tells you everything you need to know about her spirit.
