Cesc Fabregas gets red card for kicking ball into opponent’s head after stoppage

Cesc Fabregas raised the bar for the best red card we’ve seen in a while. Chelsea vs. West Brom was supposed to be a meaningless game, but things got heated. Surely Fabregas was just trying to be helpful, right? The ball was far away from where it needed to be and he decided to deliver it in with a kick.

It’s not his fault that Chris Brunt’s perfectly positioned melon was there to accept the ball. Here’s what led up to Fabregas’ card.
