Minor league manager goes on tirade, drop-kicks his own shoe
This is a new one.
Here, let’s let the YouTube video description do the explaining (emphasis mine):
In the top of the 5th inning of the Frisco RoughRiders vs Midland RockHounds a blown out call at home led to outrage. After being ejected Frisco Manager Joe Mikulik put on a spectacular show with this epic rant. Mikulik went on to throw his helmet, shoes, and a trash can. Objects thrown not in the video include a medicine ball, his shirt and towels.
Midland’s newly named Texas League All-Star Ryon Healy hits the game-winning walk-off single to give the ‘Hounds the 5-4 win and third straight victory after losing the past eight.
We’ve seen a lot of very upset managers lose their poop in a lot of very creative ways, but punting one’s own shoe is a new one. As is throwing a gosh dang medicine ball onto the field.
We salute you, Joe Mikulik. You’ve made us all so very proud on this day.
