Justin Verlander is totally bummed about giving up A-Rod’s 3,000th hit

After helping A-Rod achieve his 3,000th hit, Justin Verlander made it clear he was bummed about being a part of baseball history “that way.”

“We’ve talked about it before and have differing views on it. I don’t ever want to give up a hit. I definitely don’t want to be part of history that way. Hats off to him.”

When reporters then asked about the difference between giving up a milestone hit to Rodriguez instead of Derek Jeter:

“I’m not touching that. He’s going to get ... I don’t need to talk about it.”

So, is ANYONE actually happy about A-Rod?
