Great white shark sighting ends swimmer’s Golden Gate Bridge-to-Farallones quest: http://t.co/gf5MHCm872
— Danny Schmidt (@TheRealDSchmidt) July 30, 2015 18-hours in and 3.5 miles from the Farallon Islands his teenage daughter spotted a great white shark. Dominguez climbed into the support boat, and was pretty mad about it for someone who avoided being eaten by a shark. From The Marin Independent Journal:
As he stood on the deck, blood streamed down his chest from chafed skin around his neck, which may have attracted the shark. “I’m a little bit disappointed,” he said, barely able to speak because of a raw throat from swallowing salt water. “But you can’t control Mother Nature, and she decided to throw a shark at me.“Wait “As he stood on the deck, blood streamed down his chest from chafed skin around his neck, which may have attracted the shark” ??? Jesus!
Only one thing to do after that.
“To get drunk.” Then he caught himself, adding, “Make that have a couple of beers.“Have however many beers you want, man. Thank you for reminding us never to go in the ocean.
