In case you’re not caught up on today’s memes, the reason why everyone’s been recording themselves yelling and asking “WHAT ARE THOOOOSE” all starts with this Instagram video, wherein someone points out to a cop that his shoes are essentially lame, without explicitly saying they’re lame / funny-looking / not-as-cool-as-whoever’s:
It’s become a big thing on Vine lately.
But what this intern did is a) dilute the joke even more by pulling it on people who don’t really get it and b) essentially this Bart Simpson moment:
