Stephen Curry details what it’s like to be trash-talked by President Obama

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Stephen Curry is enjoying life as an NBA champion and MVP. It comes with a lot of neat perks, including playing golf with President Obama. Steph teamed up with his father Dell to play Obama and Ray Allen. There was PLENTY of trash-talking too.
“There would be like a four-foot putt, and in the friendly games where you’re not really playing for money or betting or anything, usually it’s a gimme, you just pick it up. He’d be crickets -- just silent. Just looking at you like ‘Are you going to mark your putt? Are you going to make that?’ He’d put the pressure on you, that kind of deal. He’d talk about ‘Oh, you’re shaking’ that kind of stuff.”
Steph joked about being unable to relax because there were 25 secret service agents at every hole. Sadly Steph and Dell lost, largely because the NBA MVP shot a triple-bogey on the final hole.
Sure the Warriors’ star lost the game, but he’s winning life. Riley was there, and naturally she stole the show again.
Look at that pro move. She totally waited until the camera came back to her a second time to turn on the charm. Elite.
