A severely-slopped downhill lie near the green is one of the most challenging shots in golf. It’s nearly impossible to get any backspin on the ball and get it to stop near the hole. The common result is to sort of hack at it and send the ball rolling well past the pin with too much topspin. Unless you’re going to go all Phil Mickelson and try a backwards flop shot like this golfer.
Golfer does his best Phil Mickelson impression for backwards flop shot
Not quite as good as Lefty, but a great result.

Had to get a little creative on this. #SCtop10 #whatyougotphill? pic.twitter.com/wlg7liTZKL
— OVO_Millet (@amillet98) August 19, 2015 The execution may not have been as sharp as Mickelson -- who has hit some pretty impressive backward lob shots -- but the result is just as good. All it took was a lot of backspin and a fortunate bounce off the cart part path to get it going.
Bonus points for executing the shot while also nearly taking out the friend standing in the wrong spot.
