‘Ultimate Patriots fan’ requests donations to Tom Brady’s DeflateGate defense in her obituary

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Another obituary claiming Tom Brady’s innocence in DeflateGate has been published. This time, it’s in memory of “Ultimate Patriots Fan” Barbara Shippee, 74, who was from Sebastian, Florida, and born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

She “peacefully passed away in the presence of family” on Aug. 19, and has a special request:

”In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to ‘Tom Brady’s Deflategate Defense’ as she was the Ultimate Patriots Fan or to the charity of your choice.”

The obituary even links to legacy.com’s charity page — a thoughtful touch. Shippee was a true fan to the end.
