DeVonte Wilson’s barbell box jump seems like an impressive way to get hurt

DeVonte Wilson has been established as an “ATHLETIC FREAK” thanks to his absolutely insane workout clips on Instagram.

If you can even call this a workout -- more like taunting death.

Tag a friend It's crazy how much improvements I have gotten over the course of one summer. In the 100 days that was given to me, 99 of those days were in the gym. My dad was asked "Why don't you get some sleep?" His reply is what set the tempo for my summer. He told the person "I can sleep when I'm dead. Until then, I don't need no sleep." Don't be afraid to give up sleep for results. I happen to do it a lot, but I see were I get it from. My mom and dad are go getters, I had no choice but to refuse letting grass grow under my feet. Which is why I do what I do, and that is grind!

Sure, the kid has hops, but WHAT IF ONE OF THOSE WEIGHTS FALLS. The risk seems too great for the reward, especially for a football player who’s already risking injury every game.

Wilson is definitely dedicated -- you can give him props for that. Here he is doing barbell acrobatics with a boot on his foot.

Tag a friend I got up at 5am and walked to the gym. I was in the gym by 5:40am, and started the grind session before my 8am class. No matter what situation you may be in, whether it is dealing with an injury, not having time to workout because of your job, or whatever the case is. Life is only as hard as you make it. "If you don't have time, well simply make time" as Arnold Schwarzenegger once said. If you really want something, you will make time for it. As cliche as it sounds, it's true. But it's all just information, at the end of the day you can do whatever you want to do with it. But like always, it's grind time! ✊

This is by far the best fail I have even been out through. Like I always say, don't be afraid to fail, embrace it. I failed trying to jump this 76 inch jump, but when I hit the ground I was laughing because I knew I psyched out in the middle of the jump, but was happy I finally got a fail video to show. When you fall, plan to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up. Be your own motivated and don't be afraid to fail. Those who have never failed before, have never tried anything new. But it all starts with you! Grind time! ✊
