Bill Belichick showed up to the postgame press conference dressed to go sailing

It was a rainy, wet night at Foxboro for the NFL season opener on Thursday and most in attendance were bundled up with layers and ponchos. Bill Belichick wasn’t nearly as bothered, in fact based on what he wore to the post game press conference it appears Belichick was more bothered by having to wear pants.

When you win six Super Bowls (two as an assistant coach) and your season opener, you can wear whatever you want to a press conference, including shorts and sandals. Belichick is probably just like the rest of us and not ready to let summer go. Or maybe he’s headed straight from the stadium to celebrate the win on his boat.
