Serena Williams' path to her 22nd major title was all but written in stone for most fans. European network Eurosport, thought so too, which is why they prepared a US Open final promo including Serena. The only problem is that they actually aired it.
Maybe they weren’t paying attention?
It’s one thing to prepare the promo beforehand, but it’s definitely another thing to air it. Maybe they can salvage part of the promo for the next time Serena makes a final!
