Brazil superfan Clovis Acosta Fernandes has passed away

The world has lost one of its great superfans in any sport. Clovis Acosta Fernandes passed away on Wednesday aged 60, and he was far more than just a sad Brazilian fan who became a meme.
Fernandes didn’t just love the Brazilian national team, he lived it. He traveled the world for 25 years watching the Canarinho play. In total, Fernandes attended over 150 matches. If he was a player he’d be Brazil’s most decorated. This wasn’t a case of him simply attending games at home, Fernandes traveled to 66 countries following his favorite team.
